Republican Olympiad of undergraduates in the direction of «7M01-pedagogical sciences»

In order to improve the quality of training in the field of pedagogical sciences, identify and support talented young researchers and in accordance with the letter of the Department of Higher and Postgraduate Education of the MES RK No. 14-5 / 337 dated March 11, 19, from April 10 to 12, 2019, at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University the republican Olympiad of undergraduates in pedagogical sciences was held.

The goal is to improve the training of scientific and pedagogical personnel and to identify talented young teachers and researchers, aimed at the development of industry science in the context of the modernization of public consciousness.

Undergraduates of 16 groups of five people in each, from all universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan, implementing educational programs of magistracy in pedagogical specialties, took part in the competition.

The III Republican Olympiad of Master student was opened by the rector of Abai KazNPU Takir Balykbayev. He stressed that the event, organized by the oldest pedagogical university in Kazakhstan, is being held as part of the Year of Youth.

The opening ceremony was attended by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Asan Satmyrzaev, Director of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology Berikzhan Almukhamedov, Deputy Director for Academic Affairs Aktoty Akzholova, Deputy Director for Science and International Relations, Senior Lecturer Bagdat Mazhinov, the teaching staff of the department and honored guests.

The work of the participants was assessed by a jury chaired by Professor Tursynbek Baymoldaev.

To the applause, the torch on Olympiad Square was lit by the winner of last year`s Olympiad. Along with this, the history of the «Wise Owl» symbol of olympiad battles was shown.

Undergraduates from 18 universities of Kazakhstan participated in various competitions of the Olympiad and got the opportunity to show their deep knowledge. Within the framework of the event, with the participation of the teaching staff, round tables, project sessions, and dialogical platforms were organized. An independent jury of the Olympiad determined the winners. A team of Abai KazNPU undergraduates received Grand Prix.

All participants of the Olympiad received certificates. Active participants were awarded diplomas MES RK, and their leaders were handed letters of thanks of Abai KazNPU rector.

The head of the department 2Pedagogy and Psychology» Aigerim Kosherbaeva summed up the Olympiad and announced that the university team, which won the 1 place, will be the organizer of the next Olympiad in 2020.
