Kunai Serik was born on September 11, 1980 in the village of Kokpekty, Karatal district, Almaty region. Nationality-Kazakh. In 1998 he graduated from the secondary school of the village of Kokpekty.

In 1999-2003, he studied at the Kazakh Academy of Sports and Tourism, majoring in "physical culture and sports coach - taekwondo".

In 2014-2016, he received the degree of "Master of Pedagogical Sciences" in the specialty "Pedagogy and Psychology" of the Kazakh Innovation University.

In 2003-2010, he worked as a senior lecturer at the Department of "East Zhekpe-zhek" of the Kazakh Academy of Sports and Tourism.

2010-2011- Kazakh University of Humanities and Law, senior lecturer in physical culture.

In 2011-2020, a teacher of the Department of "Initial Military Training" of the Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abai

In 2020-2021, senior lecturer of the Department of "Physical Culture and Sport" of the Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abai

Since 2021, he has been working as a senior lecturer at the Department of "Initial Military Training" at the Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University

Achievements:

WT (poomsae) - multiple champion of the Republic of Kazakhstan in taekwondo.

Multiple winner of the WT International Taekwondo Tournament.

Bronze medalist of the Asian Taekwondo Championship, Tashkent (Uzbekistan) 2014

Participant of the 2008-2009 World Championship.
