The First Meeting of First-Year Students as Part of the Adaptation Week at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University

On August 27, 2025, the Department of Special Pedagogy at the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University held the first meeting with first-year students as part of the traditional Adaptation Week.

The event aimed to provide a comprehensive introduction to the university: its organizational structure, faculties, academic buildings, and the wide range of educational and extracurricular opportunities available to students. Special attention was given to helping students integrate into the academic environment and gain an understanding of student life.

During the meeting, students were introduced to key aspects essential for successful learning and comprehensive development: principles of academic integrity; the student code of ethics; students` rights and responsibilities; and the main regulations and principles governing the educational process.

A particular focus was placed on recommendations for successful adaptation to the new educational environment. Students were encouraged to be proactive, take initiative, and make the most of the university`s resources to support their personal and professional growth.
The main goal of the event was to create favorable conditions for a confident start to university life and to instill an understanding of the values, mission, and cultural traditions of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University.
