Meeting to discuss the main areas of work of the agrobiostation

On April 15, 2025, a working meeting was held at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University with Daero Cha, CEO of Heung Co., Ltd, and Rae Kwon Chung, Advisor to the UN Secretary-General on Climate Change Issues. The meeting was dedicated to discussing the main areas of work of the University`s Agrobiostation Sector.

On behalf of Abai KazNPU, the meeting was attended by Chairman of the Board - Rector Bolat Tlep, Vice-Rector for Strategy and Internationalization Aigul Iskakova, Vice-rector for Finance and Infrastructure Development Kamila Amenova, Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Geography Kulyash Kaimuldinova.

The purpose of the meeting was to present the results of the soil reclamation and agrochemical survey conducted by «DLT GROUP» LLP, and to develop proposals for the utilization and effective management of the 40.6-hectare agrobiostation area located in the Zhanashar rural district, Enbekshikazakh district of Almaty region.

During the meeting, the results of the survey were discussed, including the development of a soil map, a salinity cartogram, and agrochemical maps based on key nutrient elements. Special attention was given to the prospects for international cooperation and the introduction of sustainable agricultural technologies with the involvement of foreign partners.

The outcomes of the meeting included an agreement on continued collaboration in the fields of agricultural science and education, as well as an intention to develop joint projects for the efficient use and development of the surveyed agrobiostation land.
