Republican scientific and methodological seminar

A republican scientific and methodological seminar with foreign participation on "Topical issues of teaching Russian language and literature" was held in Abai KazNPU. The seminar was attended by teachers-methodologists of institutes and departments of philology of universities of Kazakhstan and Russia, as well as teachers of urban and district schools of Kazakhstan (the master teachers and teachers as researchers). Three sections took place within the framework of the seminar, each of which covered important aspects of teaching Russian language and literature.

In the first section on the methodology of teaching Russian language and literature, 5 reports were heard and discussed, covering such topics as the development of reading literacy, expressive reading, effective methods of text study and principles of educational impact of fiction.

In the second section on author`s developments in teaching Russian language and literature (experience and practice), speakers presented the results of their pedagogical research, demonstrating modern educational trends and methodological approaches. Special attention was paid to the formation of key competences of students, such as functional and reading literacy, critical thinking.

In the third section on innovations and technologies in teaching Russian language and literature, speakers discussed the use of visual tools, interactive games, neural networks and project-based learning in Russian language and literature lessons.

The seminar was organised and fruitful, and the participants expressed their desire to continue the practice of holding similar events.
