An Official Meeting Held at Abai University with the Consul General of Poland in Almaty

On May 21, 2025, Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University hosted an official meeting with a delegation led by Mr. Dariusz Szewczyk, Consul General of Poland in Almaty.

The meeting, aimed at discussing cooperation issues, was attended by Consul General of Poland in Almaty Dariusz Szewczyk, Vice-Consul Paweł Niedźwiecki, Polish language instructor Justyna Janik, Chairman of the Board - Rector Bolat Tilep, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Banu Narbekova, Vice-Rector for Strategy and Internationalization Aigul Iskakova, Director of the Department of International Cooperation Bayan Sapargaliyeva, Head of the Physics Department Vladimir Kosov, Dean of the Faculty of Philology Alua Tanjarykova, Head of the Department of Russian Language and Literature Saule Abisheva, and Head of the Department for International Projects and Cooperation Aigerim Tavyldieva.

The parties discussed expanding bilateral cooperation in the fields of education and science, and agreed on the development of projects in academic mobility, dual degree programs, and cultural-humanitarian initiatives.

It is worth noting that Abai University currently maintains partnerships and has signed international agreements with eight leading Polish universities. A joint dual degree program with the Pomeranian University is already being implemented. More than 30 students are currently studying in Poland, and during the past academic year, about 70 students studied at top Polish universities through academic mobility programs.
