Abai University Students Met with Academician Orazaly Sabden

On February 13, 2025, the Department of Social Work and Youth Policy, in collaboration with the Hakim Abai National Education Center, organized a cognitive meeting with Doctor of Economics, laureate of the State Prize of Kazakhstan, and academician Orazaly Sabden. The event, themed «The World, Abai, and Kazakhstan’s Path», was attended by University Rector Bolat Tilep, Vice-Rector for Social Development Maksat Zhakauov, Research Fellow of the Hakim Abai National Education Center Zhabal Shoinbet, Chairman of the Veterans Council Berikzhan Almakhanbetov, Head of the Alumni Association Bolatbek Nurbatyrov, Chairman of the University Trade Union Mukhtar Ibraimov, faculty members, and more than 150 university students. This meaningful and insightful meeting aimed to introduce students to the life and work of a prominent figure who has made significant contributions to Kazakhstan s economic development.

The discussion focused on his scientific achievements, economic reform proposals, and initiatives for educating the younger generation. The event also emphasized the values of Hakim Abai s Perfect Man" concept and its significance for students. In his opening speech, Chairman of the Board-Rector Bolat Anapiyauly stated: Abai University takes pride in the achievements of its alumni. Our goal is to nurture educated, competitive young individuals with a strong national spirit. Your scientific work and life experience will undoubtedly serve as a guiding light for us." He also expressed readiness to implement joint projects. As a token of appreciation, the rector awarded Orazaly Sabden the Abai badge and honored him with special recognition.
