“The Present and Future of National Culture”: A Spiritual Meeting with Bekzhan Turys

On February 24, 2025, at the initiative of the Faculty of History and Law of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, a spiritual and educational meeting was held as part of the project "Be Close to a Good Person" ("Жаныңда жүр жақсы адам"). The event featured Bekzhan Turys, an Honored Artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan, laureate of the "Daryn" State Youth Award, a distinguished figure in theater and cinema, and a master of the stage.

The meeting was attended by faculty members, Vice-Rector for Social Development Maksat Zhakau, Dean of the Faculty of History and Law Gabit Kenzhebayev, member of the Council of Elders Berikzhan Almukhanbetov, Chairman of the Trade Union Mukhtar Ibraimov, as well as students.

During the event, the renowned artist, as a true patriot, shared his thoughts on important social issues. He also answered students` questions and spoke about the art of theater. In a warm and engaging conversation, Bekzhan Turys reflected on his youth, shared interesting stories from his student years, and gave the audience a memorable experience.

The meeting was held in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Students bid farewell to Bekzhan Turys with great reluctance, as he is a beloved national figure known not only for his work in theater but also for his contributions to film and television.
