KazNPU and Xi`an International Studies University Strengthen Cooperation in Education and Science

On June 19, 2025, a delegation from Xi`an International Studies University (China) paid an official visit to Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University. The delegation was led by the President of the University, Mr. Wu Yaowu, and included Professor of Russian Language Lin Mei and Research Assistant Cao Hui.

From the side of KazNPU, the meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Board - Rector Bolat Tlep, Vice-Rector for Strategy and Internationalization Aigul Iskakova, Director of the Department of International Cooperation Bayan Sapargaliyeva, Dean of the Faculty of Arts Karim Baigutov, Head of the Department for International Programs and Cooperation Aigerim Tavıldieva, Head of the Department of Chinese Language and Sinology Guliya Alikhankyzy, and Professor of the Faculty of Arts Liu Wen Bin.

During the meeting, the foreign university representatives were introduced to the history of Abai University, its position in global rankings, the structure of its academic programs, ongoing scientific projects, academic mobility initiatives, and the potential and achievements of its faculty.

The parties discussed key areas of cooperation in the fields of science, education, and culture.

They also addressed the implementation of research projects, academic exchanges, and joint educational programs. The conversation included the strengthening of international scientific collaboration, the organization of joint conferences and publications. The meeting explored joint initiatives in language education, international relations, and intercultural communication. Both parties expressed interest in launching collaborative scientific seminars, research projects, and faculty exchange programs in the future.

As a result of the meeting, concrete agreements were reached regarding the implementation of joint projects in the fields of education and science. Such meetings contribute to expanding international partnerships and deepening the integration of education and science. This visit marked an important step toward the integration of Abai University into the global academic community.
