Workshop on preparation for the winter session

A special seminar on preparation for the winter session of the 2024-2025 academic year was held at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University in auditorium 202 on December 10th, at 10:00 AM. The university`s teaching staff, as well as those on duty in classroom and corridor attended the seminar.

During the seminar, the procedure for conducting exams in a test format and the responsibilities of the duty staff were discussed. The event featured the participation of A.Z. Smagulova, Head of the Testing Center, K.K. Madiyev, Head of the Compliance and Anti-Corruption Service and G.K. Balakhmetova, Deputy Director of the Academic Affairs Department.

K.K. Madiyev emphasized the importance of the systematic execution of duties and announced the upcoming survey "Students through the eyes of teachers" to be conducted at the end of the academic year. In turn, A.Z. Smagulova explained the requirements for the proper conduct of the session and emphasized the importance of discipline and responsibility during exams.

T.Z. Akaev, Head of the Testing Support and Analysis Department, presented a report on systematic approaches to organizing testing. Special attention was given to the instructions for conducting testing during the interim assessment at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, as well as the principles of academic integrity. The academic calendar for the 2024-2025 academic year was also presented.

The duty staff filled out special "commitment" forms and answered test questions related to the principles of academic integrity. Seminar participants demonstrated a thorough understanding of the discussed topics and provided constructive feedback.

This initiative aimed at organizing the winter session is an important step toward improving the quality of education and ensuring academic integrity at the university.
