UI GreenMetric World University Ranking 2024: Abai University enters the Top 500

On December 12, 2024, the 15th edition of the global sustainability ranking UI GreenMetric was published, according to which Abai KazNPU ranked 422nd, improving its result from last year by 400 positions and confidently entering the top 500 universities worldwide.

A total of 1,477 institutions from 95 countries participated in the ranking. The large number of participants and the wide geographic coverage emphasize the significance of this ranking, which focuses on assessing the sustainability performance of higher education institutions.

By participating in this ranking, Abai KazNPU has once again demonstrated its commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), striving to improve all aspects of the university`s ecosystem and playing a key role in shaping the sustainable future of the country.

The university`s efforts in areas like infrastructure, global climate change, clean energy, water conservation, waste recycling, eco-friendly transportation, and sustainability education and research have been clearly recognized by its breakthrough in the global ranking and its honorable "bronze" at the national level.
