Scientific and methodological seminar on translation issues

According to the calendar plan of the scientific project AP19680449 `Evaluation of translation quality: scientific and educational spheres` its participants on 10 January 2025 held a scientific-methodological seminar in Al-Farabi KazNU. The reports were made by: Aigul Zhumabekova, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor of the Department of Oriental Philology and Translation of the Faculty of Philology of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University (head), PhD Kurkimbayeva Aizhan (senior researcher).

The aim of the seminar was to familiarise the professional academic environment with the results of internal quality assessment of translation of philology textbooks by the project participants. The seminar participants were presented with recommendations and proposals for improving the quality assessment of translation in the scientific and academic sphere (on the material of English, Russian and Kazakh languages).

The seminar was attended by teachers and doctoral students of the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation Studies of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University under the guidance of the head of the department PhD Aimagambetova Malika.
