A sports competition was held among foreign students

On December 9, 2025, the sports event Spartakiad-2025 took place at Abai KazNPU among international students studying at the university. A total of 7 teams participated in the Spartakiad. The competitions were held in sports such as tug-of-war, chess, table tennis, and volleyball.

The main goal of the Spartakiad was to develop the physical activity and athletic achievements of university students, to promote a healthy lifestyle, and to strengthen relationships between students and faculty members.

It`s worth noting that in the one-day competition, the team of students from the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics, and Informatics took first place in the team standings and was awarded a cash prize of 70,000 (seventy thousand) tenge. The second place was taken by the team of students from the Faculty of Physical Culture and Initial Military Training and was awarded a cash prize of 50,000 (fifty thousand) tenge, while the third place was taken by the team of students from the Faculty of Arts, receiving a cash prize of 30,000 (thirty thousand) tenge. In addition, each faculty team was awarded a cash prize of 10,000 (ten thousand) tenge for their active participation in the competitions.

The teams that won prizes were awarded special diplomas and cups.
