On January 27, 2025, an important meeting took place at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University with representatives of Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg

The purpose of the visit was to discuss further cooperation within the frameworks of the ERASMUS+, DAAD, and other international initiatives, as well as to expand mutual ties between the two institutions. Abai University has been actively developing partnerships with Otto von Guericke University since 2019. One of the key projects implemented within the framework of cooperation is the ERASMUS+ program «KazDual - Introduction of a dual education system». As part of this initiative, scientific articles have been jointly developed and published in European and Kazakhstani journals, which confirms the high level of scientific cooperation between the universities.

During the meeting, key areas of collaboration were discussed, including the submission of applications for two ERASMUS+ CBHE projects. The first project focuses on the development of doctoral programs and vocational education and training in Kazakhstan (VETKZ), while the second addresses the certification of competencies for non-formal and informal learning in Kazakhstan (COMCERT KZ). Representatives of the universities expressed their readiness to continue strengthening mutual ties and to actively work on new initiatives aimed at the development of education and science, as well as improving the quality of professional training for specialists in both countries. Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University and Otto von Guericke University declare their intention to continue joint activities and are committed to further strengthening their strategic partnership in the field of international educational and scientific programs.
