Cognitive Meeting «From Abai to Abai Held»

On February 12, 2025, a cognitive meeting titled From Abai to Abai was held for students of pedagogical classes at the Abai Republican Specialized Boarding School for Gifted Children with in-depth study of the Kazakh language and literature.

The event s honored guests were Mukhtar Ibraimov, Chairman of the Trade Union Organization of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, Honored Worker of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, holder of the Y. Altynsarin badge, and former director of the Abai Republican Specialized Boarding School (2004–2017), along with Ertai Sultan, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation at the university and a member of the Presidium of Young Scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

During the event, representatives of Abai University shared the achievements of the country s first higher educational institution, emphasizing its 95-year history and its leading position in the field of pedagogy in both international and national rankings. They also noted that renowned figures such as Akhmet Baitursynov, Saken Seifullin, Khalel Dosmukhamedov, Ilyas Kabilov, Baymen Alamanov, and Temirbek Zhurgenov once taught at the university. It is worth mentioning that the event was organized by Bauyrzhan Saidakhmetov, a lecturer at the Department of Pedagogy of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology, and the head of the pedagogical class.

Discussions covered the concept of pedagogy, the essence of the teaching profession, modern trends in the image of a teacher, Abai s legacy, the significance and purpose of literary reading, and personal development.
