A psychological cinema was held in the hostel

From February 10 to February 13, 2025, psychologists of the Psychological support service and 4th-year students of the specialty Psychology: Training of a practical psychologist of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology organized and conducted the psychological cinema Psychokadr with students of dormitories on the theme Kumar oynyn kurygyna tuspeyik!

The purpose of the psychological cinema is to prevent ludomania among students, to raise students awareness of the problems of pathological gambling addiction, its causes and consequences, to develop critical thinking and a responsible attitude towards gambling. Informative videos were shown during the event. The first video showed the essence of pathological gambling addiction – ludomania. It tells the stories of people who have personally experienced ludomania, how gambling has taken over their lives, and what steps they have taken to avoid addiction.

The second is a preventive video, which demonstrates the impact of gambling addiction on personality, career, family and society. The video examined the strategies of the gaming business that affect the formation of addiction, as well as ways to counter them. The discussion of the videos took place in an atmosphere of mutual trust and openness. At the end of the event, the students shared their feelings about watching videos, discussed the main risks of gambling and suggested effective ways to overcome addiction, asked questions and drew conclusions on the topic. More than 80 students from dormitories No. 1, 2, 3 and 8 of our university took part in the psychological cinema.
