28.03.2025 Lecture on “Eco-Project: From Idea to Sustainable Development” Held On March 27, 2025, an open lecture on "Eco-Project: From Idea to Sustainable Development" was held as part of the "Fundamentals of Scientific Research in Chemistry" course at the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Natural Sciences and Geography, Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University.
During the event, ecologist and co-founder of the "Recycle BIRGE" environmental movement, Päkinzat Sailaubekova, gave a presentation titled "Where Does the Trash Go? The Waste Problem in Kazakhstan." She discussed the volume of household waste in Kazakhstan, recycling rates, and the environmental impact of waste disposal. Additionally, she highlighted pressing issues related to landfills and illegal dumping sites in the country.
Meanwhile, Alina Moldakerim, a marketing specialist at the "Fariqa" project, spoke about the importance of clothing waste sorting and the benefits of sustainable development initiatives for society.
The lecture, which addressed key environmental issues, was attended by second-year students of the 6B05301-Chemistry program, who gained insights into project development.
Notably, the lecture was organized by PhD senior lecturer Asem Uzakova and second-year doctoral student Zukhra Mukhametaliyeva.
