Meeting with Representatives of Yokohama Toin University (Japan) Held

On March 28, 2025, Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University hosted a meeting with representatives of Yokohama Toin University (Japan).

The meeting aimed to enhance academic and research cooperation between Abai KazNPU and Yokohama Toin University and to introduce new educational programs focused on improving the qualifications of faculty members in the field of physical education and sports.

The meeting was attended by Professor Tomonobu Sakurai, PhD, a representative of Yokohama Toin University and a faculty member of the Department of Physical Education and Sports; Aigul Iskakova, Vice-Rector for Strategy and Internationalization; and Yernar Ospankulov, Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education and Initial Military Training.

During the discussions, the participants explored opportunities for strengthening scientific and educational collaboration between the two universities, as well as plans for implementing new educational programs aimed at enhancing the qualifications of faculty members in physical education and sports.

The professional development course is expected to include lectures, seminars, and master classes, providing participants not only with theoretical knowledge but also with opportunities to develop practical skills in sports physiology and physical education.

This initiative represents a significant step toward strengthening academic and scientific ties between the two universities and advancing the expertise of educators in the field of physical education and sports.
