On April 8, 2025, as part of Science Week, the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, Banu Narbekova, delivered a lecture titled "New Trends in Research-Based Teaching."

The event was attended by faculty deans, academic staff, as well as doctoral and master`s students of the university.

In her lecture, Banu Mukataykyzy emphasized that in today`s rapidly changing world, the development of research competencies has become a key component of quality education and the preparation of competitive professionals.

During the session, modern research methods currently applied in the field of education were thoroughly discussed. In particular:
• Lesson Study - a methodology for enhancing teaching practices through collaborative lesson planning, delivery, and reflection;
• Action Research - a practice-oriented approach where educators investigate and improve their own teaching experiences;
• Constructivism - an educational philosophy that encourages learners to construct knowledge independently based on personal experience, interaction, and reflection.

These approaches not only deepen students` understanding but also foster their research competencies, critical thinking skills, and ability to work in teams.

In addition, the Vice-Rector highlighted key trends in the contemporary education system, including:
• a strong focus on practical and project-based learning;
• the integration of research skills as a core part of academic training;
• the evolving role of educators as facilitators and mentors;
• the widespread adoption of digital and analytical tools in the learning process.
