Winners of the “Best Student Research Organization” Contest Announced


On April 8, 2025, as part of Science Week, the Council of Young Researchers organized a competition among students to determine the "Best Student Research Organization."


Dedicated to the 180th anniversary of Abai Kunanbayuly, the event aimed to encourage students engaged in research activities by identifying the most outstanding student research organization at the university.

 

The competition consisted of three stages:
Stage I - Creative presentation titled "My United Organization";
Stage II - "Quick Response" round to assess students` knowledge of academic writing;
Stage III - "The Issue We Study", where participants demonstrated their research potential through scientific publications.

 

Students competed in various formats, including presentations, video materials, or mixed-format introductions. The scientific interest and research activities of organization members were also evaluated through their publications.

 

The following student organizations participated in the contest:
The "Sparkle Science of Chemistry" organization, composed of students from the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Geography: Zarina Ersain, Araylym Elshibek, Zhanerke Yerlanqyzy, Madina Bakatay, Sanzhar Rinatov, and Suleymen Amirbek. Supervisor - PhD, senior lecturer Asem Uzakova.


The "Ayala" Eco Club, consisting of students from the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Geography: Asylbek Myrzakul, Layla Sekerbekova, and Sabina Akkaiyr.
Supervisor - Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Kulzhan Bakirova.


The "AlphaSUD" organization, composed of students from the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology: Dilnaz Kenzhebayeva, Ademi Zhumabekova, Gulnaz Berikqyzy, and Kamiliyam Sultanova. Supervisor - PhD, senior lecturer Almas Turalbayeva.

 

The scientific competition was dynamic and engaging. The jury members asked questions, and students provided thoughtful and well-prepared responses.

 

Based on the results of the competition:
1st place was awarded to the "AlphaSUD" organization from the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology;
2nd place - "Sparkle Science of Chemistry" from the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Geography;
3rd place - "Ayala" Eco Club, also from the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Geography.

 

All participants and winners received Certificates of Appreciation, diplomas, and monetary prizes from the Chairman of the Board - Rector.
