The winners of the Asyl Mura poetry recitation contest were awarded

On April 17, 2025, the winners of the "Asyl Mura" poetry recitation contest dedicated to the works of Abai were awarded. The event was organized by the "Hakim Abai" National Educational Center.

The contest was held from April 1 to 15 among students of grades 9 to 11 from schools in Almaty city and Almaty region, in honor of the 180th anniversary of the great Kazakh and world literary classic, Abai Kunanbayev.

The aim of the contest was to engage students with Abai`s rich literary and translated works, to cultivate a habit of reading, and to develop expressive reading skills.

Based on the results of the contest, the winners are as follows:

1st place - Zhangabyl Yerghulan, a 9th-grade student of School-Gymnasium No. 53;

2nd place - Bekbolat Amina Bakhtiyarkyzy, a 10th-grade student of School-Gymnasium No. 177, and Bektenov Khangeldi, a 10th-grade student of School-Gymnasium No. 108;

3rd place - Matei Munisa, a 9 "Ә" grade student of School-Gymnasium No. 200, and Zhyren Umit, a 9th-grade student of the specialized gymnasium No. 12 named after Sh. Ualikhanov.

Special nomination winners:

"Abai`s Hope" - Turdieva Takhmina, an 11th-grade student of P. Vikhrev Secondary School;

"Abai`s Legacy" - Zhakenuly Yerbulan, a 9th-grade student of School-Lyceum No. 210;

"The World of Abai" - Zhitenyeva Sofia, a 10th-grade student of Gymnasium No. 35.

All winners and special awardees received letters of appreciation from the Chairman of the Board - Rector, as well as diplomas and monetary prizes.
