City Poetry Contest “Where Are You, Flame of Youth?”

On April 22, 2025, in honor of the 180th anniversary of the great poet Abai Kunanbayev, the city poetry contest "Where Are You, Flame of Youth?" was held. The event was organized by the Orazaly Dosbosynov School of Young Poets at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University.

The goal of the contest was to boost the interest of creative youth in poetry and to inspire young authors.

The jury included: poet and recipient of the Presidential Special Scholarship of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and laureate of the "Turkistan" and "Serper" youth awards - Bakhytzhan Aldiyar; honorary citizen of Kazakhstan and member of the International Union of Writers - Omarkhan Dautov; as well as poet and publicist - Kuanish Zhazai.

The winners of the contest were: 1st place - Zhanarys Askerbai (100,000 tenge), 2nd place - Akhan Sabyrzhan (75,000 tenge), 3rd place - Sanzhar Sultanghazy (50,000 tenge).

Special awards were given to: Pirzhan Sandybay - Myrzhakyp Dulatuly Award, Shugyla Yermahan - Zhuban Moldagaliyev Award, Shamil Nesipbai - Kadyr Myrza Ali Award, Saulet Nurshapagat - Tumanbai Moldagaliyev Award, Sanzhar Dayarbek - Orazaly Dosbosynov Award, Shugyla Baikenkyzy - Fariza Ongarsynova Award.

This contest became an unforgettable literary evening that brought inspiration to young poets.
