Special Educational Cabinet Dedicated to Kumash Nurgaliyev Opens at Abai University

On April 25, 2025, a significant event took place at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory and the 100th anniversary of the birth of Kumash Nurgaliyev, People`s Teacher of the USSR and a veteran of the Great Patriotic War. As part of this commemorative date, a special educational and informational cabinet was opened at the university, named after Kumash Nurgaliyev.

The solemn ceremony was attended by members of the Board of Directors, representatives of the intellectual community, the university`s faculty and active student youth. In his speech, the rector and chairman of the Board of the university, Bolat Tilep, highlighted Kumash Nurgaliyev`s contribution to the country and his exceptional teaching career, calling the opening of this cabinet an important step in preserving the continuity of generations and renewing historical memory.

"This is a bright example of honoring a true People`s Teacher who devoted his life to serving his people. Kumash Nurgaliyev is a graduate of this university, and today we present him as a role model for future generations, celebrating his spiritual heritage," said Bolat Tilep.

Kumash Nurgaliyev was a veteran of the Great Patriotic War, the first educator to receive the title of People`s Teacher of the USSR, and a prominent figure who dedicated his life to the education of young people. Along with his heroism on the battlefield, he made an invaluable contribution to the educational system of our country in peaceful times.

It is worth noting that the newly opened cabinet contains valuable information about Kumash Nurgaliyev`s life and career, as well as archival materials and historical artifacts.
