Member of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ekaterina Smolyakova, visited Abai University

On May 2, 2025, Member of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ekaterina Smolyakova, paid an official visit to Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University.

During her working visit, the deputy addressed issues related to the training of future pedagogical specialists, their employment, regional demands for qualified personnel, the university`s capabilities, as well as the development of inclusive educational programs for individuals with special health needs.

During the meeting with the deputy, Chairman of the Board - Rector of Abai KazNPU, Bolat Tilep, emphasized that the university is preparing highly qualified specialists who meet the demands of employers and are competitive in the labor market. He noted that every graduate is guaranteed employment and highlighted ongoing agreements and programmatic projects being implemented with general education schools across the country.

Ekaterina Smolyakova familiarized herself with the university`s educational programs and held an open discussion with members of the Board - Vice Rectors. They exchanged views on the future of specialization in special pedagogy and the broader implementation of educational programs at the regional level.

In addition, the Member of Parliament took part in an expanded international round table on inclusive education, organized by the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology with the participation of international experts.
