A Lecture Hall Named After Malik Gabdullin Opened at KazNPU
On May 6, 2025, a lecture hall named after Hero of the Soviet Union Malik Gabdullin was inaugurated at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University.
The event, held as part of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory and the 110th anniversary of the prominent scholar, Doctor of Philology, and Professor Malik Gabdullin, was attended by the university administration, representatives of the intelligentsia, faculty members, and active student leaders.
Malik Gabdullin`s daughter, Maidan Malikkyzy, took part in the opening ceremony and spoke about the efforts to preserve and promote her father`s scholarly legacy, emphasizing his invaluable contribution to national science and culture.
As part of the event, Gabdullin`s 1958 academic work titled "Kazakh Folk Literature" was republished.
This work, which has become a part of the golden treasury of national spiritual heritage, remains relevant to this day and serves as a valuable resource for the spiritual development of younger generations. By republishing this book, the university aims to popularize national heritage and instill traditional values in students.
It is worth noting that Malik Gabdullin served as rector of the Abai Kazakh Pedagogical Institute (now KazNPU) from 1944 to 1951, making a significant contribution to the development of education and science.
