Outstanding Employees Honored at Abai University Ahead of Victory Day


On May 6, 2025, a ceremonial concert program titled "Tribute to Heroism" was held at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University in honor of May 9 - Victory Day. The event was organized by the Department of Social and Youth Policy.

 

The event was attended by the university`s Chairman of the Board - Rector Bolat Tilep, vice-rectors, deans of faculties, heads of departments and divisions, teaching staff, veteran educators, and students.

 

During the ceremony, Rector Bolat Tilep congratulated the attendees on Victory Day, stating: "From the bottom of my heart, I congratulate all of you on the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War! This glorious holiday commemorates the undying heroism of our fathers and grandfathers who defeated a brutal enemy and defended our homeland. We are forever indebted to that courageous generation. I wish our veterans strong health, happiness, and prosperity! May peace and harmony always prevail in our country!" He emphasized that the heroic deeds of veterans for their homeland would never be forgotten.

 

As part of the evening, a number of university staff members from the Military Department of Abai University were honored for their outstanding achievements in celebration of the 80th anniversary of Victory and the 33rd anniversary of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Specifically, Laboratory Head Roza Imangaziyeva and Lecturer Marat Umarov received the "Best Employee" badge, while Cycle Leader Yeren Baimaganbetov and Senior Lecturers Shalkarbek Ismailov and Bekmukhan Kurmanaliyev were awarded Letters of Appreciation.

 

The concert program featured a moving performance of the song "Kara Baur Kaskaldak" by students from the Faculty of Arts, which deeply touched the audience and brought many to tears. The student theater group "Shyng" performed a poetic duel that resonated with the crowd, while the Wind Instrument Ensemble from the Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory received warm applause for their musical performance. The evening concluded with the song "Victory Day."
