Abai University supported the citywide cleanup in honor of the 80th anniversary of Victory

On May 8, 2025, a citywide cleanup was organized at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University as part of the environmental initiative "Clean Kazakhstan," announced by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in his Address to the Nation on September 2, 2024, and in honor of the 80th anniversary of Victory.

The cleanup event was opened by Abai University`s Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Banu Narbekova. To support the initiative, representatives from the Republican State Institution "Ile-Alatau State National Natural Park" specially arrived.

Members of the Board - vice-rectors, heads of structural departments, faculty, and students from various faculties - also actively participated in the cleanup.

The aim of the initiative is to develop and enhance environmental awareness within the university, contribute to the improvement of the city, and encourage broader support for the campaign and a responsible attitude toward environmental cleanliness.
