Abai University Discusses QS WUR International University Rankings Results


On May 12, 2025, an important meeting was held at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University with Sergey Khristolyubov, Regional Director of the international ranking agency QS, on the topic: "Enhancing the University`s International Reputation and Awareness of Abai KazNPU`s Results in the QS World University Rankings (WUR)."

 

The event was attended by the Chairman of the Board - Rector of Abai KazNPU Bolat Tlep, members of the Board - Vice-Rectors, heads of structural divisions, deans and deputy deans of faculties, department directors, and heads of academic departments.

 

Sergey Khristolyubov, Regional Director at QS Quacquarelli Symonds, delivered a lecture on "Key Results of the 2025 Ranking Cycle," presenting analytical insights and data on the university`s standing and prospects.

 

In his presentation, Sergey Khristolyubov highlighted the results of the 2025 subject rankings, in which Abai KazNPU achieved the highest result among Kazakhstani universities in the subject category "Education and Training." The university ranked 86th globally in this field, becoming the top-ranked institution in both Central Asia and Kazakhstan.

 

During the meeting, Rector Bolat Tlep emphasized the importance of international rankings as a tool for assessing the quality of educational services at the international, regional, and national levels. He specifically noted that such rankings contribute to raising the quality of education to global standards, aligning higher education processes with international practices, and tracking global trends.

 

The meeting also included discussions on current issues related to the QS ranking methodology and the potential for the university`s development within the framework of these rankings.
