Abai University has signed a Memorandum with the Department of Emergency Situations of Almaty city

On May 13, 2025, the Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abai and the Department of Emergency Situations of Almaty under the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan signed a memorandum of mutual cooperation.

The purpose of the memorandum is to provide practical assistance in carrying out rescue and search operations against foreign citizens, to develop cooperation in the field of interaction with rescue structures of other states, to popularize projects among students on the introduction of modern research systems for the prevention of various emergencies in Almaty, as well as to strengthen mutual understanding between the parties.

The memorandum was signed by Maksat Zhakau, Vice Rector for Social Development of KazNPU named after Abai, and Nurlan Atygaev, Head of the Department of Emergency Situations of Almaty city.

The parties agreed to develop student volunteerism, provide first aid in times of emergency, and implement the principles of mutual trust and strategic partnership to strengthen civic engagement and responsibility in the public environment.
