International Cultural and Educational Event with Students from Hong Kong Baptist Universitу

On May 22, 2025, the Department of Chinese Language and Sinology at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University hosted an international cultural and educational event with students from Hong Kong Baptist University as part of the "One Belt, One Road" strategic cooperation initiative. The goal of the event was to strengthen mutual ties between KazNPU and the Hong Kong university, and to foster academic partnership and cultural exchange.

The event was attended by Aigul Iskakova, Vice-Rector for Strategy and Internationalization of KazNPU; Bayan Sapargaliyeva, Director of the Department of International Cooperation; Alua Tanzharykova, Dean of the Faculty of Philology; Guliya Alikhankyzy, Head of the Department of Chinese Language and Sinology; faculty members Symbat Meirkhan, Araylym Raeva, Ayazhan Elemes; as well as students.

The guests received a warm welcome from the university administration, faculty, and students. During the event, the history and achievements of KazNPU were presented, and a cultural dialogue platform was established between Chinese and Kazakh students. Both sides shared presentations, creative performances, and took part in open discussion sessions.

Throughout the meeting, the youth of both countries exchanged views on national culture, education systems, and student life. KazNPU students also organized a concert program showcasing traditional Kazakh art, while students from Hong Kong impressed the audience with their own performances.

The event was held in a friendly atmosphere and left unforgettable impressions on all participants. Such meetings serve as a vivid example of the development of international cooperation.
