Teachers of Abay University completed a scientific internship in the United States

From May 2024 to May 2025 instructors Yerzhanova F.M., Zhandykeeva G.E., Serikova S.K., and Umarova A.B. have been taking a research internship at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (USA) under the Bolashak program "500 Scientists." The program focused on integrating artificial intelligence technologies into the educational process and exploring modern pedagogical trends.

During the internship, the participants had a unique opportunity to familiarize themselves with advanced methods of using AI to enhance learning efficiency, adapt educational programs to the individual needs of students, and automate routine teaching tasks.

Particular attention was given to studying current trends in pedagogy, including the competency-based approach, project-based learning, and the development of critical thinking, as well as the digital transformation of education. Practical sessions and experience-sharing with leading experts and faculty members of the University of Illinois allowed the researchers to broaden their professional horizons and gain insight into promising directions in educational technology development.

Additionally, the group of instructors conducted two seminars as part of their research: "Kazakh Mythology and Folklore" (March 2025) and "The Kazakh Concept of "Zheti Kazyna" (April 2025), which sparked genuine interest among American students and faculty.

The acquired knowledge and skills will serve as a valuable resource for further work in the field of education, enabling the implementation of innovative solutions and the improvement of teaching quality through the use of AI.
