Abai University Ranks Among Top 3 Kazakhstani Universities in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2025

Abai University reaffirms its commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals by participating in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2025, which evaluates 2,526 universities from 130 countries and territories based on their contributions to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

According to the results published on June 18, 2025, Abai University ranked among the top three universities in Kazakhstan and placed within the 1001-1500 range of the world`s best universities.

In the latest edition of the ranking, Abai University demonstrated significant progress across several key areas. In the category of Gender Equality (SDG 5), the university improved its position by 100 places. This category assesses measures such as empowerment of women, accessibility of education for all student groups, and the existence of gender policies within the institution.

In the category of Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions (SDG 16), Abai University advanced by 200 positions. This area evaluates factors including the effectiveness of university governance, collaboration with government bodies, and the proportion of graduates employed in law, justice, and civil administration sectors.

These results highlight the high level of development, social responsibility, and strategic commitment of Abai University to sustainable development - both within Kazakhstan and globally.
