KazNPU Students Visited Semey as Part of the “Journey to the Land of Abai” Project

On June 22-23, 2025, students of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University took an educational trip to the Abai region in honor of the 180th anniversary of Abai Kunanbayev.

More than 50 students from Abai University traveled to Semey within the framework of the "Journey to the Land of Abai" project. As part of a special expeditionary group, they joined students from M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University to visit historical sites and museums of the Semey region over the course of two days.

On June 22, the students began their route at Shakarim University, then visited the Shakarim Museum, the State Historical, Cultural, Literary and Memorial Museum-Reserve of Abai "Zhidebai-Boryly," the monuments to Abai and "Teacher and Student," as well as the Nevzorov Family Museum of Fine Arts. In addition, they participated in the intellectual game "Shakarim Quiz."

On June 23, the group continued with an excursion to Zhidebai, visiting the Kushikbai Mausoleum, the museum-house of M.O. Auezov in Boryly, Abai`s birthplace - Syrt Kaskabulak, the "Enlik-Kebek" Mausoleum, Abai`s museum-house, and the Abai-Shakarim Mausoleum Complex.

In addition to educational excursions, the program also included joint film screenings, discussion evenings, engaging games, and team-building sessions for the students.
