PhD Diplomas Solemnly Awarded at KazNPU

On July 4, 2025, the regular meeting of the Academic Council was held at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University.

The event was attended by the Chairman of the Board - Rector of the University, Bolat Tilep, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Banu Narbekova, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation Ertai Sultan, Vice-Rector for Social Development Maksat Zhakau, as well as department heads, faculty deans, heads of departments, academic staff, and doctoral students.

During the meeting, Rector Bolat Tilep congratulated the university community on the completion of the 2024-2025 academic year and expressed his gratitude for the achievements in the fields of science and higher education.

As part of the ceremony, a number of faculty members who have made a significant contribution to the development of science in the country were ceremoniously awarded diplomas conferring the academic degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).

In addition, based on the results of the dissertation councils` work during the 2024-2025 academic year, a total of 65 doctoral candidates successfully defended their dissertations and were awarded the PhD degree. Notably, 16 of them came from other universities across the country and defended their work at Abai University, which is a clear testament to the university`s high scientific potential and open academic environment.

Currently, 17 dissertation councils are operating steadily at Abai University. These councils include leading scholars from national universities and research institutes as permanent members, as well as internationally recognized scholars with high scientometric indicators as temporary members.
