Winners of the Research Competition Honored at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University

On August 18, 2025, Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University hosted an award ceremony for the winners of the annual national research competition for students and master`s degree candidates.

In the 2024-2025 academic year, Abai University was designated as the base higher education institution for the second stage of the competition across 11 academic programs. This year, the competition attracted 118 young researchers from 25 universities across the country. Their scientific projects were evaluated by 41 experts. Of the total submissions, 73 were undergraduate-level and 45 were at the graduate (master`s) level.

As a result, 59 students and master`s degree candidates were awarded first, second, and third-degree diplomas by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Among them, 22 students from Abai University were recognized as prize-winners, once again demonstrating the university`s strong scientific potential. Four participants received first-degree diplomas, ten received second-degree diplomas, and three were awarded third-degree diplomas. Additionally, one student received a Letter of Appreciation from the Ministry.

The awards were presented by Yerzhan Sultan, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation at Abai University. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of student and postgraduate research activities and encouraged young scholars to pursue their scientific endeavors with perseverance and dedication. Representatives of the Department of Science and academic supervisors also attended the ceremony.
