27.08.2025 Abai University Hosts the Presentation of the Educational Minor Program “Law and Order”
On August 27, 2025, on the eve of the new academic year, Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University hosted the official presentation of the new Minor educational program for students titled "Law and Order."
The event was attended by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Banu Narbekova, Director of the Department of Academic Affairs Khairulla Zhanbekov, Director of the Educational Programs Analysis Department Nurzhamal Oshanova, Head of the Department of Jurisprudence Zhanel Sailybayeva, Senior Lecturer, Candidate of Legal Sciences and Associate Professor Elmira Kenzhibekova, as well as faculty members and students.
The "Law and Order" program is one of the innovative educational initiatives in the Minor (second specialization) format being implemented across Kazakhstan. At Abai University, the program will be launched in the 2025-2026 academic year, offering students an additional opportunity to deepen their understanding of legal studies and public order alongside their primary field of study.
The primary goal of the program is to foster students` legal consciousness, promote respect for the rule of law, and encourage exploration of the historical and legal heritage of Kazakh statehood. The program is based on an interdisciplinary approach and emphasizes the national significance of legal education.
As part of the educational process, the program aims to: Enhance legal literacy; Cultivate civic responsibility; Prevent legal violations and deviant behavior; Strengthen a culture of respect for the law; Develop legal and ethical reasoning skills essential for operating effectively within the modern legal landscape.
In today`s society, it is particularly important to instill values of respect for the law, civic engagement, and social responsibility in the younger generation. From this perspective, the "Law and Order" program contributes to the formation of students` legal culture and plays a significant role in their personal and professional development.
