A round table marked the 30th anniversary of Kazakhstan`s Constitution and the legal heritage of Academician G. Sapargaliev

On August 29, 2025, the Department of Law at the Faculty of History and Law of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University hosted a round table titled `The Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan: 30 Years of Development and the Legal Legacy of Academician G.S. Sapargaliev.`

The event was organized to mark the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan and to honor the scientific legacy of Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, one of the co-authors of the country`s Basic Law - Gairat Sapargaliev.

The round table was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of History and Law, Gabit Kenzhebayev, who emphasized the historical significance of the Constitution and its role in the development of the country.

Leading scholars presented in-depth reports during the event. Doctor of Law, Professor Bakhytzhan Toleubekova, in her presentation `The Statesman Who Extended the Legal History by Five Centuries,` comprehensively analyzed Sapargaliev`s contribution to legal science. Doctor of Law, Professor Bakhytzhan Kuandykov shared insights into some of the political and legal positions of the academician. Candidate of Legal Sciences Gabit Dulatov delivered a speech titled `Honoring the Teacher of the Nation.`

Additionally, Candidates of Legal Sciences, Professors Elmira Kenzhibekova and Zhanel Sailibayeva discussed the role of the `Law and Order` Minor educational program in legal education and highlighted current trends in the training of future legal professionals.
The round table also featured active participation from master`s and undergraduate students, who presented their research projects dedicated to

the 30th anniversary of the Constitution of Kazakhstan.

At the conclusion of the event, participants noted that the 30th anniversary of the Constitution is a significant milestone in the country`s history and emphasized that the scientific legacy of Academician Gairat Sapargaliev holds great importance not only for the development of Kazakhstan`s legal science but also for educating future generations of legal professionals.
