«Green Kindergarten»: The Environment for Shaping Ecological Culture in Early Childhood Education

On August 28-29, 2025, Zhakupova Altynay Zhumabekyzy PhD, senior lecturer of the Department of Preschool Education and Social Pedagogy of the KazNPU named after Abay, took part in the Pedagogical Council of kindergartens No. 186 (Almaty) and `Ulan` (Almaty region) for the 2025-2026 academic year.

At the pedagogical council, he made a scientific report on the topic: `Green Kindergarten`: The Environment for Shaping Ecological Culture in Early Childhood Education. The purpose of the report is to convey the importance and features of environmental education in the formation of children`s skills for caring for the environment.

Head of the nursery-kindergarten`Ulan` Smagulova Bakhtygul Beisembayevna, presented the results of the project `Zhasyl Alem`. She noted that children`s love for nature is the basis for a caring attitude to the ecology of their native land.

The head of kindergarten No. 186 Imambekova Aigul Sembekovna and the methodologist Kunshaim Syezbekkyzy drew attention to the fact that one of the main tasks of modern education is the formation of an individual`s ecological culture. In the prospective plan for the Development of the kindergarten for the 2025-2026 academic year, it is planned to implement the Green Kindergarten project.
