«Seminar Held: `Corruption – One of the Major Issues in Society`»

On September 18, 2025, a seminar was held at our university as part of the `Honest Generation` («Adal Urpaq») project, implemented by the Public Fund `Information and Resource Center` under the state order of the Youth Policy Department of Almaty city.

The seminar`s topic was `Corruption - One of the Major Issues in Society.` The main goal of the meeting was to discuss anti-corruption measures and to foster an anti-corruption mindset among young professionals in Almaty.

The following speakers took part in the event:
• Kurmangazy Kapashevich Madiev - Head of the Anti-Corruption Compliance Service at the Non-Commercial Joint-Stock Company `Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University,` veteran of public service;

• Bakhtiyar Kamalovich Kamalov - President of the Kazakhstan Franchise Association, President of the Eurasian Association;

• Almat Zhanabayevich Adilbayev - Expert of the Public Council, member of the monitoring group, and actor.

The seminar was attended by 100 students from our university. The students received important information about the negative impact of corruption on society and the economy and understood the importance of combating corruption. Additionally, the effectiveness and improvement of anti-corruption activities among youth were thoroughly discussed.

The main goal of the `Honest Generation` project is to contribute to reducing corruption among the youth of Almaty and to mitigate the negative effects of corruption on the country`s economy.

This seminar was a significant event that greatly contributed to fostering an anti-corruption mindset among young people and strengthening justice and transparency in society.
