QS WUR 2026: ABAI UNIVERSITY В ТОП 700

Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University has been ranked among the world`s best universities by the global higher education analysis agency QS Quacquarelli Symonds in the `QS World University Rankings - 2026.` It is also the TOP pedagogical university in Central Asia and Kazakhstan.

Today, a ceremony was held to present certificates and awards to the higher education institutions participating in the international `QS World University Rankings - 2026.` In the new ranking, Abai University placed the 628th position, rising 43 places compared to last year (previously ranked between 671 - 680). Thus, the university joined the ranks of the world`s top 650 higher education institutions, reinforcing its position as one of Kazakhstan`s TOP four leading universities. Furthermore, KazNPU has become the leader in pedagogical education in Kazakhstan and Central Asia.

The award was accepted by Bolat Tilep, Chairman of the Board-Rector of KazNPU, who emphasized the university`s high recognition in the global education space. He noted that this ranking allows for enhancing the quality of education to meet global standards, aligning higher education processes with international experience, and monitoring global trends.

`This is not just a high rating, but the recognition of Abai University at the leading level on the international stage and within the global academic community. It is a significant achievement that proves the university`s quality of teaching, international cooperation, infrastructure, and inclusive high standards. It is also the result of the systematic and daily work of the entire university team aimed at increasing the university`s global competitiveness. I sincerely congratulate the university team and wish them new achievements,` said Bolat Anapiyauly.

During the awarding ceremony, certificates and special signs were presented to 20 other TOP universities in the country. It is worth mentioning that the `QS World University Ranking` certificates were formally presented today by Jason Newman, Chief Commercial Officer of QS, and Sergei Khristoliubov, Regional Director of the QS Quacquarelli Symonds international ranking agency.
