STUDENTS OF KAZNPU NAMED AFTER ABAY – THE BEST IN THE FASHION WORLD

At the end of the calendar year, students take their final exams for the fall semester. For the students of the Faculty of Arts at Abay University, these exams are the result of their creative work. Today, students specializing in "Fashion Design" presented their works to the commission. The commission evaluates the works based on the originality of ideas and content quality. It is worth noting that the talented students design and create new seasonal clothing models on their own.

KazNPU named after Abay not only trains qualified specialists in the field of pedagogy, but also in the arts. The Faculty of Arts (formerly the Faculty of Fine Arts), founded in 1969, has become home to future renowned artists and art masters. Today, students are taught in the fields of art history, fashion, visual arts, and media.

The Faculty of Arts conducts final exams in various formats to assess the level of students knowledge. The students of the "Fashion Design" program presented their works for the "Clothing Construction" course, showcasing models created by their own hands. Students are given creative freedom in preparing for the exam: they develop their own sketches, models, fabrics, seams, and even buttons. During the exam, students present their works and projects (on paper) to the commission.

Among the students are winners of international and national fashion competitions. They have presented their creations at prestigious events such as "Kazakhstan Fashion Week" and the international competition "Central Asia Fashion" receiving public recognition. Nazym Ayiphanova, a lecturer at the Design Department, proudly spoke about the students with creative talents.

– As a teacher, I am happy to work with such talented students. I am also a graduate of this university. We have established strong ties with experienced domestic designers. This year, two of our students entered the top five in the national fashion industry. One of the works by Natalia Sokolova will be produced and sold by the company "Alerma". Student Akjan Doyanbaeva participated in an international fashion exhibition in St. Petersburg. And 4th-year student Anna Khapenko works in the "Kazplay" genre, creating costumes for creative characters. I am confident that our talented students will become internationally recognized in the future, – she noted.

Students of the "Design" program work with commercial proposals and have great opportunities for financial success. Over the past three years, the diploma projects of students have been partially or fully commercialized.
