THE BEYSEN QURANBEK VOLUNTEER COMPETITION HELD The final competition for students on the theme "A World Through Care: Volunteering and Charity" was held at KazNPU named after Abay, organized by the "Meirim" volunteer club. The aim of the event was to widely promote the social legacy of Beysen Quranbek and his life principles based on charity and selfless service among young people. Volunteering is not only a social phenomenon but also a consciously chosen lifestyle, which is why it is important to instill the spirit of charity from an early age. This is necessary to raise the younger generation in the spirit of kindness and helping others. The competition was aimed at popularizing the values of volunteering and charity among students. Opening the competition, the university is Vice-Rector for Social Development, Maksat Zhakauov, wished the participants good luck and noted that Beysen Quranbek is public activity, based on volunteering and humanism, serves as an example for the youth. The jury of the competition included radio and TV host Maksat Erzhanuuly, lawyer Nurbold Batyrbay, professor of the Department of Special Pedagogy Kamil Maldybaev, journalist of "Жібек жолы" TV channel, and activist of the "Volunteers League" movement Saya Abdigappar. The competition was held among first-year students from educational programs in pedagogy and social sciences. Participants presented socially significant events organized by them in the framework of volunteering and charity, demonstrating their initiatives through real actions. This helped enhance their civic responsibility and foster a culture of serving society. After participants submitted their documents online, a selection process took place, followed by competition in four stages. In the first stage, students presented research projects based on Beysen Quranbek is "Қарекет" program, and then introduced their groups through a video on the topic "The Volunteer Heart — This Is Where We Live". In the third stage, titled "The Path of Mercy," participants showcased their conducted charity events, and in the final stage, they answered blitz questions about the life and work of Beysen Quranbek. According to the results of the competition, the first place was won by the "Арнайы Support" team, which received a cash prize of 50,000 tenge. The second place was shared by the teams "Үміт шамы" and "Жан Тұғыры" each receiving 40,000 tenge. The third place was shared by the teams "Ізгі істер әлемі" and "Шапағат" each receiving 30,000 tenge. Additionally, the main sponsor of the competition, the authorized partner of Xerox Corporation in Kazakhstan and the head of a network of urgent printing, design, and advertising centers in Almaty, Viktor Boyko, presented special encouragement awards to active volunteers of the university on the occasion of International Volunteer Day. Thus, the "Best Volunteer Group" was awarded a prize of 55,000 tenge, and for the "Best Charity Work," another 55,000 tenge. Charity and selfless service are a lifestyle that is not formed overnight but consciously chosen. From this perspective, teaching young people volunteering is an important task for modern society. This competition, aimed at instilling this responsibility among students, will continue to be held as a traditional event in the future.
