SCIENTIFIC TITLES AWARDED AT THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE ACADEMIC COUNCIL

Today, Abai University held a regular meeting of the Academic Council. This is an important session at which work plans in the fields of innovative education, digitalization, strategy, and scientific development are approved. During the meeting, diplomas were awarded to Academicians of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Kazakhstan, Associate Professors, and PhD holders.

The final Academic Council meeting of the calendar year traditionally began with pleasant news. Zhantbek Ishpekbayev, Head of the Administrative Office of Abai KazNPU, and Ertai Sultan, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation, were awarded the title of “Academician of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Kazakhstan”. The certificates were officially presented by the President of the Academy, Askarbek Kussainov, who specially attended the Academic Council meeting.

Then, in accordance with Order No. 2091 of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, Gulzada Baimbetova, Head of the Department for Training Scientific Personnel at Abai University, was awarded the certificate of Associate Professor in the field of “10200 – Physical Sciences.” In addition, 10 doctoral students who came from various higher education institutions across the country and studied at Abai University received their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) diplomas from the Chairman of the Board – Rector of the University, Bolat Tilep.

PhD diplomas were awarded to: from Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University — Gulnur Gazizkyzy, Karlygash Koblandina, Leila Alpysbay, Zhadira Orynbaeva, Nurbanu Sapanova, Rauziya Ismagulova; from Sh.Ualikhanov Kokshetau University — Saule Ermaganbetova; from South Kazakhstan Pedagogical University named after O.Zhanibekov — Abai Karataev; from K.Zhubanov Aktobe Regional State University — Asemgul Alseitova; and from Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University — Botagoz Zharmenova. Overall, this year 78 doctoral students successfully defended their research projects at the dissertation council and obtained the PhD degree.

In addition, the Academic Council meeting approved dissertation topics and reviewed the prospects of the digitalization strategy. An analysis of innovative educational programs and the results of this year is international rankings was conducted. In the era of artificial intelligence, the directions of Abai University is digital development were identified, and a future action plan was approved.
