ACTIVE STUDENTS OF ABAY UNIVERSITY AWARDED

Today, active students of Abay University, as well as the winners of the New Year decoration contest, were awarded. This year, young people who actively participated in public events were presented with letters of appreciation on behalf of the Chairman of the Board–Rector of the University, Bolat Tilep. Heads of medical institutions responsible for monitoring the health of students and staff were also honored.

The youth of Abai University actively participate in socio-cultural events and are capable of openly expressing their civic position. Undoubtedly, among them are individuals who will take responsibility for the future of the country. Every event held at the university is aimed at fostering such values, and today is award ceremony also carries this important meaning. Attention to and recognition of active youth undoubtedly strengthen their aspiration to do good deeds.

In this regard, at the final event dedicated to the conclusion of the calendar year, letters of appreciation were presented to young people who contributed to enhancing the reputation of the alma mater and its social development. Among them were representatives of student organizations and active students.

The Vice-Rector for Social Development, Maksat Zhakau, expressed his gratitude to the active youth and congratulated them on the upcoming New Year. Heads of medical institutions were also awarded for their contribution to advancing the university by 100 positions in the international ranking for the Sustainable Development Goals in the field of healthcare. Considering that three medical institutions in Almaty provide services to students and staff arriving from all regions of the country, on the eve of the holiday, healthcare professionals were presented with special letters of appreciation and commemorative gifts.

In addition, the results of the New Year decoration contest for academic buildings and dormitories were announced. According to the results, the Faculty of Arts was awarded in the “New Year Gift” category, the Faculty of World Languages in the “New Year News” category, and the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Geography in the “New Year Warmth” category.

Youth is the future of the country. Abay Kazakh National Pedagogical University not only provides students with education, but also contributes to the formation of culturally developed, proactive, and spiritually rich individuals. The University always supports creative youth in implementing new ideas and unlocking their talents.
