Vacant position:

Deputy Director of Education of the Institute of Philology and Multilingual Education

The main functional responsibilities of the structural unit:

- works in accordance with the Labour Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, collective agreement and work schedule;

- reports on his activities.

- receives information from the Director of the Institute on the regulatory and organizational and methodological activities, gets acquainted with the relevant documents against signature;

- distributes the instructions of the Director of the Institute on the organisation of the training process;

- regularly exchanges information with other deputy directors of the Institute and university pedagogical employees on the issues within his competence;

- During the temporary absence of the Director of the Institute (holiday, illness, etc.) shall perform his/her duties. Performance of duties shall be carried out on the basis of the director`s order or the order of the head of the authorized body (department of education) in accordance with the legislation of RK, the Charter of the educational institution and the rules of internal work order.

Main job responsibilities:

- prepares and organises the teaching load documents of the teaching staff;

- participates in the classes and other activities conducted by teachers, analyses the content and form of the classes, informs the teachers of the expert opinion;

- Ensures timely and quality execution of reporting documents;

- Coordinates the implementation of the state compulsory educational standards, educational programmes and plans for institute and elective courses, development of documentation

- Supervises the quality and timeliness of certification of students;

- takes systematic control of documents and is responsible for them;

- monitors the results of the semester and the entire academic year.

Education:

higher education, at least a master`s degree.

Required professional experience (duration, scope, other)

- at least 3-5 years of work experience. The Deputy Director of Academic Affairs should have the knowledge and skills required to fulfil the duties of the position;

- direction of activities, organisational work, systematic approach to problem solving, consulting, work with different sources of information, development of normative and other documents for systematisation and preparation of information materials.

Professional competencies:

Specialist should be able to write reports, references, business letters, draft orders, keep minutes.

Personal competencies and qualities:

Innovative, information-oriented, goal-orientated, discreet and patient, proactive and courageous, polite and confident, team-working, self-developmental, constructive.

Knowledge of languages, including the state language (list of languages that the candidate must speak)

Kazakh, Russian

Computer skills:

Good command of MS Office packages (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, WordPad), work with e-mail (Outlook Express). Solid working knowledge of various browsers (Opera, Firefox, Chrome).
