Galiya Abayeva Askerbekovna – Dean of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor.
In 1992, she graduated from the Faculty of Defectology of the Russian State Pedagogical University named after Herzen (Saint Petersburg).
2001-2005 studied at the correspondence postgraduate school of KazNPU named after Abai, upon completion she defended her PhD thesis on the problems of speech development of children with severe visual impairments (code 13.0003 – Correctional pedagogy).
1992-2008 worked as an assistant, teacher, senior lecturer, acting associate professor at KazNPU named after Abai.
2008 to 2016. Head of the Department of Special and Social Pedagogy
of the Kazakh State Womens Pedagogical University. In 2010, by the decision of the Committee for Control in the Field of Education and Science of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, he was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor (DC No. 0001872). 2016-2020 - Director of the state institution
National Scientific and Practical Center for Correctional Pedagogy. Since 2020 - Dean of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology of KazNPU named after Abai In 2025, by the decision of the Committee for Quality Assurance in the Field of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, he was awarded the academic title of professor in the scientific field of Education (PR No. 0000332). The sphere of scientific interests of G.A. Abayeva is very wide: issues of education and training of students with visual impairments; psychological and pedagogical support for children with multiple disabilities, with autism spectrum disorders; inclusion of children with special educational needs in the general educational space; criteria for assessing special educational needs of children, professional training of special educators, general educators for work in an inclusive educational environment; the use of digital platforms in education, etc.
Published publications in Kazakh, Russian and English are in great demand in the scientific community on special pedagogy and inclusive education, higher education.
Abayeva G.A. is the author of the first textbooks in Kazakhstan for blind students of the 1st grade South Ashu: relief-nuk-tel-Alipe

in Kazakh and Russian.
She has published over 90 scientific and methodological works in the open press: 8 textbooks for special schools recommended by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan; 1 textbook for universities and 2 textbooks (with the UMO RUMS stamp), 9 methodological recommendations (recommended by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan), 1 terminological dictionary (with the UMO RUMS stamp), 1 electronic textbook, 1 teaching aid, 4 monographs (3 co-authored), articles in international scientific journals indexed by Scopus information databases Q1, Q2, Q3; There are more than 30 articles in publications recommended by the KKSVO, and standard training programs for higher and secondary education organizations. It has an h – 2 in the Scopus database. 9 state certificates of copyright registration for monographs and educational publications have been obtained.
Under the scientific supervision of G.A.Abayeva, more than 25 masters theses have been defended and Master
s degrees in pedagogical sciences have been obtained. She regularly undergoes internships abroad, various advanced training courses abroad and in the Republic of Kazakhstan, constantly improving her scientific level and expanding the scope of scientific communication.
