Issue of Diploma Supplement of European Standard


The graduates of Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abai completed education on accredited education al programs can be certificated by a Diploma Supplement.


Diploma Supplement (DS), that is an European Standard Diploma Supplement, or All-European Supplement to a National Diploma, is the official international document developed by a joint working team consisting of representatives of the European commission, the Council of Europe and UNESCO, and which is delivered in addition to the document of education.


The delivery of the Diploma Supplement is one of the main parameters of the Bologna process. Most of higher education institutions of the countries - participants of the Bologna process deliver this document to their graduates, the document, which is required for continuing their education or employment in foreign countries. It is recognized by all the countries - participants of the Bologna process.


The Diploma Supplement in the standardized form explains details of an education al program for providing with international transparency and independent academic and professional recognition of qualifications (diplomas, degrees, certificates, etc.), which higher education institutions graduates of different countries earn.


The Diploma Supplement describes the character, level, status, content and learning outcomes, contains an additional information of the national system of higher education, which explains the place of the qualification in the respective educational system. The work load is given in ECTS, which allows to correlate the national educational system with the European system.


The Diploma Supplement consists of 8 sections required for filling in: This Diploma Supplement follows the model developed by the European Commission, Council of Europe and UNESCO/CEPES. The purpose of the supplement is to provide sufficient independent data to improve the international "transparency" and fair academic and professional recognition of qualifications (diplomas, degrees, certificates etc.). It is designed to pro-vide a description of the nature, level, context, content and status of the studies that were pursued and successfully completed by the individual named on the original qualification to which this supplement is appended. It should be free from any value judgments, equivalence statements or suggestions about recognition. Information in all eight sections should be provided. Where information is not provided, an explanation should give the reason why.

4.4. Grading scheme and, if available grade distribution guidance;
4.5. Overall classification of the award.

For documenting a Diploma Supplement, a KazNPU graduate must present the following documents:

- application addressed to the rector;

-Copy of the diploma and its supplement (showing the originals);

- Copy of ID;

- Copy of the first page of a passport with personal information (if available), or surname, name, patronymic written in Roman letters;

- Copy of the document of name change (if required);

- Additional information (professional experience: participation in international projects, conferences; internships, etc.).

 

Institutions realize executing and holding of the Diploma Supplement. The directors of the institutes appoint persons responsible for filling in the form of the Diploma Supplement of the European Standard on the basis of the transcript.
The Diploma Supplement is filled in the English, printed on the standard form with the logotype of KazNPU named after Abai, certified by the signatures of the University Rector, the Institute director and the person responsible for filling in the document, and stamped by KazNPU`s seal.
Period of executing is 30 calendar days after submitting the application.
If an application is submitted a month before the date of diploma delivery it can be delivered together with the diploma.
The Diploma Supplement is issued once (free of charge ) and registered in the Register of Diploma Supplements of European Standard.
