On holding a competition for filling the vacant positions of a professor-researcher at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University

Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University (hereinafter Abai KazNPU) announces a competition for filling the vacant posts of a a professor-researcher for a full-time unit for conducting scientific work for a period of three years.Working conditions: 75% or more is allocated to research work, up to 25% is allocated to teaching work.

Priority areas of fundamental and applied research:
- psychology and pedagogical sciences;
- social and humanitarian sciences;
-natural sciences;
- IT.

Kazakhstani and foreign scientists who are actively involved in scientific activities, contributing to the formation of scientific schools, the organization and development of new scientific fields, can be accepted to the position of research professor:
- the presence of a doctoral degree/candidate of sciences or PhD, academic title of professor or associate professor;
- the availability of publications over the past five years in international peer-reviewed scientific journals included in 1, 2 quartiles according to the Clarivate Analytics Journal Citation Reports or having a percentile score of at least 50 in the Scopus database for one or more scientific areas:
- the presence of the Hirsch Index (Hi);
- knowledge of English (preferably).

The competitive application includes: an application for participation in the competition, a resume, an application for a research project, a portfolio with documentation confirming the above requirements for candidates (screen shots from citation databases, copies of publications in foreign publications, etc.).
