Havighurst Center for Russian & Post-Soviet Studies (Ohio, USA) annually awards grants in the form of a competitive salary and post-doctoral research funding in the amount up to $ 2000 a promising young scientist.

Scholarships available for young scientists specializing in the humanities-related research with Russia and other post-Soviet countries of the region on issues of history, politics, culture, art, religion and literature.
Basic terms and criteria for selection:
Application deadline for 2012-2013 academic year - February 1, 2012

Scholarships are usually granted for one year with possible extension for another year. Typically, participants are taught four 15-week courses per year in the area of his research, and contribute to the development of programs Havighurst Center in their professional field.

Requirements for participants:
• a degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD or) to the beginning of the program,
• English language skills to read lectures on it.
Required Documents:
• resume (CV);
• A description of proposals for research on a single sheet;
• one-page description for each of the 4 courses that the applicant would like to teach (you can attach a list of references);
• Three letters of recommendation.
List of countries in which the Havighurst Center is particularly interested, is changing every year, so applicants should contact the Havighurst Center for this information before sending the application form.
