“Best Researcher of 2024” at Abai University

The Head of the Department of Ancient and Medieval History of Kazakhstan at the Faculty of History and Law of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Professor Nurlan Atygaev, has been awarded the title of "Best Researcher of 2024."

Nurlan Atygaev is a researcher specializing in the history and culture of medieval Kazakhstan and Central Asia. He is a highly qualified expert and the author of over 150 publications on the medieval history of Kazakhstan. Among them, three scientific monographs have been published: "The Kazakh Khanate in the Flow of History. Essays," "The Kazakh Khanate: Essays on the Foreign Policy History of the 15th-17th Centuries," and "Money on the Silk Road (Kazakhstan Territory, 13th-14th Centuries)."

In the past five years, he has published more than 40 scientific works. His research has been published both in neighboring and distant countries, including Turkey, China, the Russian Federation, Poland, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Armenia, Ukraine, and others.
